A 52-year-old St. Joseph man has been convicted of child
molestation after a two-day jury trial in Buchanan County.
Timothy Brown has been found guilty of sexually abusing a
12-year-old while volunteering at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St.
Joseph. A 17-year-old girl testified during the trial, stating Brown had touched
her inappropriately and had exposed himself to her when she was 12.
The jury deliberated for about two hours. Brown will be sentenced
in early January.
