A 52-year-old St. Joseph man convicted by a Buchanan County jury of child molestation has been sentenced to 64 years in prison.

Fifth Judicial Circuit Judge Daniel Kellogg sentenced Timothy Brown on four separate counts involving sexual assault against a minor. Kellogg sentenced Brown to 50 years in prison for statutory sodomy. He also sentenced Brown to 10 years for enticement of a child and another 10 years for child molestation, but both sentences are to be served concurrently. Brown has also been sentenced to 4 years for sexual misconduct of a minor.

Brown volunteered for the youth group at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph. The jury in November found Brown guilty of sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl.
