
WASHINGTON —The Philadelphia Eagles spoiled the Kansas City Chiefs bid for a three-peat, winning the Super Bowl on Sunday. Now Kansas elected officials who made friendly wagers with colleagues are paying up.

On Sunday, Kansas U.S. Senator Roger Marshall used his social media account to share his wager. “The bet is on – If the Chiefs win, Senator McCormick of Pennsylvania will bring me a Yuengling beer, and Senator Fetterman will have to wear Chiefs gear. If the Eagles win, I’ll bring KC BBQ and wear Eagles gear. “

Wednesday morning, Marshall removed his suit jacket on the Senate floor to show he was wearing an Eagles football jersey. The Junior Senator from Kansas did not indicate what Kansas City BBQ he is going to bring to Washington. Marshall is the first taking action to pay up following the championship game.
