ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a college student for an alleged prank phone call.
Just before 9p.m. Saturday, police responded to a dormitory on the Benedictine College campus to investigate a report that someone was being chased with a knife, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The investigation that followed determined the report was false and that a student had made a prank call to a college staff person resulting in law enforcement response.
Police arrested 20-year-old Lydia C. Fontenot, 20, Southlake Texas, at 1020 North 2nd Street. She was jailed on a requested charge in connection with transmitting false information to request emergency service.
