St. Joseph school officials say they are investigating and do not condone an anti-Trump photo posted on social media by a Bessie Ellison Elementary School custodian.
The St. Joseph School District, in a statement, said it has received inquiries about the photo. The photo shows a person squatting over a student Valentine’s Day box with a President Trump theme. The social media post appears to contain comments from the employee.
The district stated it does not condone the actions of the employee.
“Although the individual in this matter is not a teacher, the District has standards for staff conduct that apply to all employees,” according to the statement.
School officials say the matter is being thoroughly investigated and will be appropriately addressed.
