Maryville School Superintendent Logan Lightfoot has been placed on administrative leave, though the Maryville R-II School District is not disclosing the reason for the action.
The Maryville Forum reports Lightfoot was placed on administrative leave February 24th. The Forum says School Board President Josh McKim would not answer questions about the leave.
Assistant Superintendent Philip Pohren will step in to the manage the day-to-day operations of the district.
The Maryville School Board declined to expand the contract of Lightfoot in January.
