Following a warm and snowy weekend, Iowans need to stay weather aware

(Radio Iowa) – After parts of Iowa saw near-record high temperatures in the 70s and 80s on Friday, the weekend wrapped up with snow in some areas on Sunday afternoon.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Andrew Ansorge says snowfall amounts included about a third of an inch in Des Moines and two inches in Fort Dodge. He suggests you keep a close eye on the forecast as another round of storms will move through the state Tuesday night into Wednesday, bringing a chance for large hail and damaging wind gusts.
