MONTGOMERY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a child’s death and have made an arrest.
Just after 5:30p.m. September 3, police and Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control responded to a residence in Montgomery City after a 2-year-old was found deceased in an apartment, according to a media release.
Police obtained a search warrant for the residence and investigators found drugs and paraphernalia.
Officers took 35-year-old Bryan E. Danter of Montgomery City on requested chartees of endangering the welfare of a child, trafficking drugs and possession of a controlled substance.
Danter is being held in the Montgomery County jail without bond. The cause of the child’s death is pending an autopsy. Police released no additional details due to their ongoing investigation.
