Northern Missouri Congressman Sam Graves says it was an honor to welcome President Trump back to the People’s House for his joint address to Congress.
Graves, a fellow Republican, says Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do during the campaign.
“I think the president has a bold vision for America and he showed that last (TUE) night,” Graves tells KFEQ/St. Joseph Post. “Securing the border, unleashing American energy, cutting waste, fraud, and abuse, bringing back common sense, reminding bureaucrats that government works for us and not the other way around.”
As for the pace, Graves says the administration needs to act quickly. . .
“Illegal immigration is out of control and he’s finally getting that back into where it needs to be. In fact, border crossings fell to the lowest level ever recorded; down 94% from last February under the previous administration. This stuff needs to happen and it needs to happen fast.”
Graves adds energy prices have gone too high. He says moves by Trump to reduce regulations on the energy industry are needed to unleash American energy independence.
Graves also says the move by Elon Musk’s DOGE agency are needed to rein in government spending.
